  • Dear Phutureprimitive, where have you gone? It's not like this album is *bad* and Rain is an untalented, run-of-the-mill musician... but I feel like the direction of his musical creativity has shifted dramatically since his last release. The talent is certainly still present - but it's not where fans of Sub Conscious would expect it to be. The music is more superficial, with your stereotypical club-dub influence present in almost every song, but the emphasis is placed on ... well, the ability to bob your head to it. This is not a deep, subtle album that you can swim through as it tells you a story; but rather, one you can put on as background music and occasionally bob your head to a certain section of a song you like. Unfortunately, there is nothing memorable or worth-while here. Not in line or on-par with what I've come to expect from the Phutureprimitive moniker. If Rain hadn't focused so much on the club scene, this would have been a much better release. The potential is there, but it just sounds off-beat... sort of like he should have released it under a different name?
